Here comes the juggernaut
As the world fights a hopeless cause
They sit back and watch us burn
Profiteering off our sweat and blood
Wake up and smell the fire
To the pillage of a torn village
Ripping off the heads of all the honorable men
Salvation is far from reach
Discretion, subliminal
These deceptive criminals
Unstoppable, a forced to be reckoned with
A million tries and we will never budge
The plea for clemency
Merciless
At the hands of barbarous men
Rapists and killers amongst us
We break out of this
Hold and grasp from the ones who claim control
We break out of this
If you can't see the riot for the warning it is
Then you'll never see the storm as it's closing in
And if the chain's still locked when the tornado hits
You'll wonder how it'd come to this
Are we content or are we subjugated?
We know we're down here, we know we're hated
And if the chain's still locked when the tornado hits
You'll wonder how it'd come to this
Falsified evidence of a cover up
Conspiracies of the veracity
The propaganda set to tear us apart
To breathe and to live in a world so fucking cold
Led to believe
We are to trust in the same filth that have sold us
To this wasteland
Carrying the weight of the world
Across the deep, vast arid expansion
On the promise of a better tomorrow
Only to find that our labor would be
To no avail
If you can't see the riot for the warning it is
Then you'll never see the storm as it's closing in
And if the chain's still locked when the tornado hits
You'll wonder how it'd come to this
Are we content or are we subjugated?
We know we're down here, we know we're hated
And if the chain's still locked when the tornado hits
You'll wonder how it'd come to this
This is the type of music we need more of. The soundscape is technically complex but remains minimal/ambient so you are still "transported" to the world Roopam creates with this composition. This, along with all of Roopam's tracks, deserve more attention. What a gem this artist is and I'm glad I stumbled across them! :D Erkadur
